For those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook or Instagram, I’ve spent the last several weeks grabbing hundreds of day- and night-time shots of this most recent Extra-Super Moon (or more formally, a perigee-syzygy moon) in as many of its various phases as the weather would allow.
On the night of the full moon this month, we were blessed with a remarkably clear and pleasant evening. I spent hours taking shots of the full Super Moon rising over the city of Pittsburgh that Sunday evening, and am going to dedicate an entire separate page to those pictures once I have them edited appropriately.
Photographs of the Moon
On this page, I’m going to post just a few of my favorite shots from the past several weeks of capturing the Super Moon in all its glory. If there’s something in particular that you’re looking for and don’t see here, I can almost guarantee I’ve got it in photo-storage. All you have to do is email me the particulars of what you’re looking for.
I know that posting these as “full-sized” individual images is not the most creative way to organize these, but frankly, these are some of the coolest pictures of the moon I’ve ever taken. They deserve to be viewed and enjoyed individually, though as prints, they are probably best experienced as a series.
If you do order pictures of the moon and have a tough time deciding what you want, perhaps a calendar, collage, or other similar print series is a better option for you.
Details on how to order prints can be found here.
